Two overnight closures of A725 southbound carriageway between Bellziehill Junction and Raith Underpass

The A725 southbound carriageway will be closed overnight (8pm to 6am) between Bellziehill Junction on-slip road and Raith Underpass for two nights, commencing Thursday 15 April.

These closures are required to ensure road user and road worker safety whilst we undertake essential road surfacing patching works and have been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption to traffic. The road will reopen at 6am each morning.

As a result, the following slip roads will be closed:

  • A725 southbound Bellziehill Junction on-slip road
  • A725 southbound Orbiston Junction on and off-slip roads
  • A725 southbound Raith Junction off-slip road

Signed diversion routes will be in place.

These works will be carried out by Scottish Road Partnership on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of this route. The works have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services, North Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Council.

All works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are poor.

Find real-time journey information on the Traffic Scotland website and Traffic Scotland Twitter.

If you have any enquiries regarding these works, please contact us on 0800 042 0188 or info@scotroadspartnership.co.uk.
